The following story was written by one of our learners:
Before I came to the U.S., I could find a job right way. But when I came and applied in factories, they never called me back. I waited for four months to find a job. Then I got a job where we make plastic bags for hospitals, stores, and restaurants. I thank God for finding a job. I thought it was going to be easy to get a job, but now I know it’s not easy. When the two years were done, I went back to Mexico. When I came back it was even harder to get a job. There were too many people on unemployment.
